# Selling FFV dry licenses online

It is possible to offer the sale of **FFV** licenses (such as annual licenses) independently, without them being linked to the booking of a specific activity. This is called the sale of a "dry license".

### What is the purpose of this feature?

This feature allows your **Team** to offer the purchase of federation licenses directly from your **booking module**, even if the customer doesn't register for an immediate session. This is particularly useful for annual licenses or regular participants who wish to regularize their administrative status before the season.

### Steps to use the feature

#### 1. Access from the booking module

The purchase is made directly by the customer (or by you in the back office) via the sales interface:

1. Log in to your **Yoplanning.pro** account.
2. Go to the **Administration** menu and then **Booking Module** on the left.
3. Select the product corresponding to the FFV license (configured as a resource or hardware).

#### 2. Purchasing Process

Unlike purchases linked to an activity, "outright" sales follow a direct path:

1. The customer adds the license to their cart.
2. **Important:** In this context, there is no automatic check of the date or validity of a previous license. The customer is considered responsible for their choice.
3. The customer confirms and pays for their order.

#### 3. Finalization and FFV validation

Once the payment is made, the process remains automated:

1. The customer receives their order confirmation by email.
2. He receives a second email specifically from the "French Sailing Federation".
3. The customer must click on the link contained in this email to fill in their personal information.
4. The license only becomes effective with the **FFV** after validation of this form.

### Usage tips and best practices

* **Customer Responsibility**: Since no existing license check is performed during a straight sale, we advise you to add a note in the product description stating that the customer must check their situation before purchasing.
* **Data verification**: To ensure the process runs smoothly, make sure the customer account information is complete (Last Name, First Name, Date of Birth, Gender).
* **Validation follow-up**: You can check if the customer has successfully completed their process by looking at whether the **FFV** logo has turned green in the list of participants or in the order details.

### Common mistakes or problems and solutions

#### The client purchased the license but it is not "up to date".

* **Cause**: The customer paid but did not complete the additional data form sent by email.
* **Solution**: Invite the customer to check their spam folder for the FFV email. You can also resend the order from the **"three dots"** menu on the order form to trigger a new link resend.

#### Access the FFV form manually

* **Cause**: The customer is with you at the counter and does not have access to their emails.
* **Solution:** Go to the **Order**, click on the **Items** tab, then on the **"three dots"** menu located at the end of the license line. You can then open the form and fill it out directly from there.

#### No check button

* **Cause**: This is normal behavior for a standalone sale. The existing license check is only active when an option is selected during an activity session.
* **Solution**: If the customer has any doubt, use the verification method via a dummy session in the booking module before proceeding with the outright sale.
